How to Choose Your Frame Finish

Every FrameOasis print comes with a white passepartout and your choice of three box frame finishes: white, black, or oak. Here's how to think about which one is right for your space.
White box frame
Clean, gallery-like, and quiet. The white frame disappears into light walls and lets the artwork do all the talking. If your space has white or light walls, this is the safest and most consistent choice.
Best with: light walls, minimal interiors, bathrooms, hallway galleries.
Black box frame
Crisp and architectural. A black frame creates a strong edge that anchors the artwork. It works particularly well against white walls, where the contrast makes the print feel more deliberate.
Best with: white walls, modern interiors, spaces with black accents or dark furniture.
Oak box frame
Warm, organic, and textural. The oak finish brings a natural element that softens the precision of the print. It works beautifully in spaces with wood floors, rattan furniture, or warm-toned walls.
Best with: wood floors, warm tones, natural materials, Scandinavian or Japandi interiors.
The passepartout
All three options come with a snow white passepartout (mat board). This creates a visual breathing space between the artwork and the frame, elevating the print and giving it a museum-style presentation.
Practical notes
All frames are hand-stained solid wood with Perspex glazing. They arrive fully assembled and ready to hang. The box frame profile measures 20mm on the face with a 33mm depth from the wall — a clean shadow-line look that works in almost any setting.
