Drop 01 isn't just a collection of prints. It's a playlist. Each of the 15 works carries a paired song, and together they form the emotional arc of Summer Nostalgia — from the first look at the water to the distance that remains after everything has ended.
How the pairing works
We didn't match songs to images. We matched songs to feelings. Each artwork in Drop 01 has an emotional register — a specific quality of attention it asks for. The song is there to deepen that register, not to explain it.
The arc
The playlist moves through the collection in sequence:
It opens with "Cmon" by Fred again.. & Brian Eno — a quiet arrival. It builds through tension ("Before the Break") and solitude ("The Drift"). It reaches its widest horizon with Moby's "God Moving Over the Face of the Waters" on "The Crossing."
The middle section is warmer — Hermanos Gutiérrez, Mazzy Star, Bonobo. Then it drifts outward: open water, the return, late light. It closes with "Alone in Kyoto" by Air on "The Distance" — the shape left behind when the place is no longer reachable.
The QR code
Each print has a QR code integrated into the artwork. Scan it and the paired track opens on Spotify. The code is part of the composition — not a label, not a separate element. It's one of the details that makes a FrameOasis print different from a standard framed print.
